One of the things that excites Ciaran O’Shea the most in life is the journey. And when it comes to the Irishman’s career as a music producer and mixer, he’s been travelling the worldwide realm of sound for over two decades!
Ciarán joined Catalyst to teach Creative Audio Production & Sound Engineering in 2019. “I wanted to move to an institution that prioritises good teaching practice and care of students,” he says. His favourite part of his role at Catalyst is “being part of a positive culture, which is both stimulating and challenging – and, of course, the people.”
Ciarán’s positivity is infectious. “Shoot for the moon. If you miss, you’ll land among stars” is his motto, and it definitely applies to his touchdown at Catalyst.
