David Thackeray: Intimacy coordination in film & TV (20 Feb)

Join us for an essential guest session with David Thackeray, one of the UK’s leading Intimacy Coordinators, sharing real-world insights into safe and ethical intimacy practices in film and TV. Drawing on work across major international productions including Sex Education, The Crown and The White Lotus, David will unpack what intimacy coordination is, why it matters, and how it supports better performance and collaboration on set.

Explore an eclectic programme of multichannel performances, installations and fixed media compositions from Catalyst students, tutors, alumni and guest artists.Β Our Spatial Sound Forum is an opportunity to redefine your perceptions of space and sound and venture into uncharted sonic territories.

Storytelling in Advertising: A Catalyst x The Kusp Panel (25 March)

Join Catalyst and The Kusp for a lively panel on storytelling in advertising, with insights from Julian Pestal, Julian Spillner and Tracey Gudwin, moderated by Amos Eretusi, exploring how brand stories are shaped in practice, the creative routes into advertising and what the future of the industry could look like.

Forum for Creative Flourishing

Our annual Forum for Creative Flourishing is a series of workshops and exhibitions designed to let participants experientially explore the psychological underpinnings of the creative process. Through hands-on practices with engaging experts participants will have the opportunity to learn more about themselves and build a deeper relationship with their own creative process.

Spatial Sound Forum

Our exploration of multichannel performances, installations, fixed media compositions and discussions that aim to redefine your perception of space and sound. Emerging artists and experts alike will guide you through the intricacies of spatial audio, as well as offering a chance to connect with the wider Berlin spatial audio community. Next event: 5–7 March 2026.

Dialogues

This series aims to open up conversations around issues that affect you and your future as a professional creative practitioner. The dialogues take the form of a student-led panel with facilitator, relevant industry guest and up to four of our students. With an audience and a wider Q&A after, this safe space allows for intimate discussion on important items and aims to bring about positive change.
