One of the biggest secrets to unleashing creative potential is staying curious and keeping an open mind. It’s no wonder that sound artist, electronic music composer and educator Felicity Mangan loves to work with people who wear these attributes on their sleeve.
Having worked as an educator in the arts for 12 years, she joined Catalyst in 2021 to focus on teaching music production, “while also sharing and learning from students within an open-minded programme.”
When she’s not teaching, you’ll find the Australian composing music, working on collaborative projects with other artists or taking time to relax in parks or ride on bike trails in the city that’s been her home since 2008. Balance, she says, is everything. One of the things that most excites Felicity in life is “when the green leaves and flowers come back to life after the winter in Berlin.” When it comes to all-time favourite art pieces, she recommends the films of Sergei Parajanov.
