Tuition fees
We like to be upfront about our fees so you can be sure about the cost of your studies before you start. When you sign up for a course with us, you pay the same price for every year of study. We charge the same price for all our students, whether they join us from within Germany, other EU countries or anywhere across the world.
The fees breakdown for all our full-time courses are listed below. There is an annual Enrolment and Tuition Fee, and we have two payment options. Students can choose to pay their Tuition Fee either in one payment or through ten instalments spread out over the year. All prices are in Euros.
If you decide to enrol in both a short and long course with us, you will receive a discount of 500€ on the total tuition.

Weekly breakdown
- How many hours of class?
12 hours of weekly lessons - We estimate around a 36 hour commitment a week broken down into 12 hours of lessons, alongside supported time on campus, bookable time in our facilities and independent study time. Our timetable is subject to change week by week or semester by semester, so we can't guarantee the possibility of regular shifts. - What days of the week is class?
Normally Mon - Fri - Classes will occur Monday to Friday between 10:00 - 20:00, 3-4 days out of the week on average, depending on your course. If a class needs to be rescheduled it will be moved to a Saturday. Your particular weekly arrangement depends on which group you are placed into for your course.
The length of class depends on the type of class: studio based workshops = up to 4 hours while discussion based workshops = 1 or 2 hours.
Holidays
We have a winter holiday of 3 weeks and a spring holiday of 2 weeks. The summer holidays are 13 weeks for 1st years and 18 weeks for 2nd/3rd years.
Bookable studio/post-box time
How much time you get in the studios depends on your course. As an extra to your workshop time in studios you will also get individual bookable time to complete your assignments or other projects. There are 25 different recording studios to choose from and we have 4 post-box film editing suites as well.
- The current allocation of bookable studio time for music students is 3 hours per week for those in the 1st year of their course, 4 hours per week for those in the 2nd year, and 6 hours per week for those in the 3rd year.
- The current allocation of bookable post-box time for film students is 3 hours per week for those in the 1st year of their course, 6 hours per week for those in the 2nd year, and 8 hours per week for those in the 3rd year.
- The current allocation of bookable post-box time for VFX students is 8 hours per week.
Bookable time is available in term time only. Because of the large number of studios available it is usually possible for students to get extra bookable time but this is not guaranteed.
Group sizes
You will be assigned a particular group for your course and these will consist of a maximum of 16 students.
Guest sessions
In addition to your average of 12 hours of delivered lessons a week, we also feature monthly guest sessions. These present guest speakers from all spectrums of the industry to share their unique experiences and personal insight into the professional (and creative!) world of music production, offering you different ways of looking at your future careers.
Notice about online content
We are constantly enhancing and updating our course content and teaching delivery in order to provide you with the best learning experience. This may result in changes to teaching, teaching hours, assessment practice, external accreditation process, staffing or resource and facilities. Rest assured we will always take into account the reasonable expectations of our student community.
Working whilst studying
Many of our students hold down jobs at the same time as their study. It's up to you to decide how much time you'd like to dedicate vs. how much time you need to work. Your ability to work in Germany also depends on what type of visa you hold - please be sure to consider these legal formalities before planning out your time with us.
