Picture yourself on campus buzzing with creative energy. You're surrounded by musicians, filmmakers, actors and digital artists all experimenting and broadening their horizons. The name of the game is to constantly push the boundaries of what you can achieve.
Catalyst is home to a global community of creatives – students from over 70 countries who are already carving out paths in music, film, acting, digital arts and creative psychology. None of the creative industries or disciplines exist in a vacuum. Our school is set-up in a way to encourage interdisciplinary exchange – preparing you for a brighter future that champions collaboration.
You're learning experience isn't limited to the classroom
Outside the classroom, you’ll find endless ways to connect and exchange. Think film screenings, jam sessions, exhibitions, student-organised events, open mics, riverside hangouts and late-night collaborations in the studios. From big to small, the student experience team will help facilitate these events.
You’ll also have a whole support network behind you – including our dedicated wellbeing team who make sure you can push your creative limits without burning out. That includes coaching sessions, an optional leadership course and the Flourishing Fortnights series that help you dig into the science of creativity – all designed to help you grow both as an artist and a human being.

At Catalyst, we believe the best learning happens in the real world. That’s why we partner with leading creative organisations, festivals and platforms to create bespoke opportunities, giving students hands-on experience, mentorship and the chance to showcase their work.
From performing with world-class orchestras to presenting films, hosting radio shows, or exploring music technology, these partnerships open doors across the arts and creative industries. Beyond the examples featured here, Catalyst has collaborated with Adam Audio, A’Larme Festival, Wise Festival, Superbooth, Down Under Film Festival, FACT Mag, Monom, Lollapalooza, Arte Kino Festival, Most Wanted: Music, Tech Open Air, Universal Music, People Festival and many more, offering a truly diverse range of experiences.
