In our Ignition beginner course, you can go from zero experience to a camera-ready amateur performer. You’ll receive the expert guidance of our industry-renowned tutors. Screen acting crash course

Do you love nothing more than exploring the far reaches of the human soul? Is your knack for morphing into different characters wasted on your Instagram stories? Do you spend hours in front of the mirror trying to cry on cue?

Our four-week beginner acting course is designed for budding actors like you. Discover, play and hone your acting skills with confidence. In this high-energy programme, you’ll learn the fundamentals of on-screen performance – from script analysis to character development to improvisation.

“This is a crash course in the foundations of each skill set required to birth outstanding screen actors,” says tutor Sarah Bleasdale. “We do this with a great variety of Berlin-based professionals – each tutor an expert in their chosen field and working in the industry. Students will receive training in areas such as voice, acting skills, camera, movement, scene studies and audition and monologue techniques. The scene study will be filmed by the film students and the acting students will be starring in three of their films!”

Primer workshops

Do you wish to join one of our Higher Education Certificate, Diploma or Bachelor programmes, but lack either the practical acting experience or formal education required to apply through standard entry? Our primer workshops run alongside the Ignition course, covering the practical learning skills and methodology you’ll need to access our academic programmes. Find out more here.
