Acting Bachelors students tackle society’s challenges on stage

During their final year, Acting students take on a deeply personal challenge. Our budding actors write and perform their own solo shows, rooted in ideas close to their hearts. These performances are a platform to explore broader societal issues through theatre. Each of the 16 unique shows will be performed three times. They tackle themes like existential dilemmas, climate catastrophe, grief, human connection and identity. Presented in groups of three or four, each 30-minute solo offers an invitation into the artist’s world.

Post-Communist Girlies is an electrifying night of solo performances by three women, each bringing their own unique, bold, and deeply personal stories to the stage. Blending humor, drama, music, and satire, these performances will explore identity, relationships and existential dilemmas through a post-communist lens. Directed by Matilda Keizer.

Kazakh Princess Diaries by Aisha Kalymzhanova

Life(less) by Dariia Gaycheva

A darkly comedic, philosophical solo piece following Zoryana, a self-proclaimed revolutionary, as she battles her own self-destruction while an asteroid threatens to end it all.
