Rachel Leong
Originally from Malaysia, Rachel is a film and theatre actress based in Berlin. She has recently written and directed her first short film "Fading Into You". She is a graduate of LASALLE College of the Arts (Singapore) in 2019 with a Diploma in Performance and has just completed her BA in Screen Acting at our School for Acting in 2024. She hopes to diversify Berlin’s film scene by highlighting stories from the Asian diaspora and creating more opportunities for the BiPOC community, both in front of and behind the camera.

Rachel's professional acting credits include web series The Importance of Using Protection (Cutscene), Avenue 14 (Monochromatic Pictures), Dreams by the Tuckshop (MAKO), Unfulfilled Dreams (onedash22); two music video appearances in Ethel Yap's "Beautiful" as well as student-collaborated "Familiar Strangers" which won two Crowbar Awards categories and featured in more than six international film festivals. She has also played leading roles in short films like Rose and Shades of Lavender, both of which appear on the Vidssee Juree Awards Singapore 2019. Her theatre credits include Middletown by Will Eno, Sunday on the Rocks by Theresa Rebeck, Road by Jim Cartwright, and Heroes and Victims by Verena Tay.
