Ammar Obeid

Ammar Obeid, born in 1993 in Alswayda City, Syria, is a talented multilingual actor and filmmaker, fluent in Arabic, Japanese, English, and German. He began his journey in the arts in 2007 as a theatre actor, writer, and filmmaker. Since 2017, he has been based in Berlin, working as an independent artist exploring visual and auditory mediums, including short documentary films and screen acting.

Ammar made his first appearance as the lead character in the short film On the Other Side (2020). His talent further shone as a voice actor in the French feature film The Ghosts, which was selected for the Semaine de la Critique at the Cannes Film Festival in 2024.  

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Japanese literature from Damascus University (2015) and a Bachelor's degree in Screen Acting at our School for Acting (2024). Ammar's diverse background and experience in both theatre and film make him a versatile and compelling artist, continually pushing the boundaries of his craft.
