Shivani is a filmmaker, researcher and lecturer. She teaches on our Creative Production (Film) MA, Film Production and Visual Effects, Digital Arts & Animation programme. She works primarily as a cinematographer and editor across narrative, documentary, artists' moving-image and interactive experiences. Her research focuses on the sense of embodiment, agency and virtual reality. She was formerly an editor at Contra Journal, a magazine that investigated visual culture and conflict. Her film and VR work has been shown at festivals such as Ars Electronica, BFI Film Festival and Flare, and galleries such as Jerwood Space and Frieze's no.9 Cork Street.

Shivani teaches Production Studio on the Creative Production (Film) MA, Mise En Scene on the Film Production BA / HE Cert and Post-Production on the Visual Effects, Digital Arts & Animation BA / HE Cert.
