Beliban zu Stolberg

Beliban zu Stolberg was born in Hamburg in 1993 and grew up in Husum on the North Sea coast as the child of a German mother and a Kurdish father. Her debut novel ZWEISTROMLAND was published by Kanon Verlag in summer 2023, and has received critical acclaim.
From 2015 to 2019, she studied screenwriting at the German Film and Television Academy, where she worked on numerous short films and web series. In 2016/17, she was a member of the Young Berlin Council, an artistic and political group at the Maxim Gorki Theatre. In 2018, she published her short story Pelzland with Ach Je Verlag and was awarded the Grenzgänger scholarship from the Robert Bosch Stiftung. In 2018, she took part in the LCB's Autorenwerkstatt Prosa and received a residency scholarship at Villa Sarkia/Finland in 2019 and 2022. In 2023 she took part in the ‘Netflix Writing Academy: PoC Writers Incubator’.
