In these three videos, we follow first-year Electronic Music Production & Performance student Jacopo Soncin's journey to performing his first ever live set at our annual student showcase, Signals Festival.
How did you fall in love with electronic music? For Jacopo Soncin, it was a natural evolution from listening to old-school hip hop to hearing it sampled in house tracks. And Jacopo fell hard. No longer content with just listening – or his economy degree, for that matter – he needed to create.
After just a few months studying Electronic Music Production & Performance, soaking up skills like an Italian sponge, Jacopo was ready to perform his first live set at our exciting annual Signals performance week. We followed him all the way through to the big day with three Making Of episodes. Watch them all below.
