Benjamin Flesser
Tutor, Electronic Music Production & Performance
Composer, performer of live electronic music, sound designer and instrument builder Benjamin Flesser has been tutoring on the Electronic Music Production & Performance programme since 2021. He specialises in analog and hybrid modular synthesisers, as well as custom or manipulated electronics and has designed and refined several hundred systems for studio, performance and environment-sensing installations. Before his current role as a teacher and mentor, he worked as a product consultant at Berlin's renowned modular synthesiser retailer, Schneidersladen.
Benjamin's solo and collaborative performance and installation works have featured in festivals, galleries and concert venues such as Berlin Atonal, Blurred Edges Hamburg, Silent Green Berlin, Arkaoda Berlin, Contemporary Divan Ficarra, and on record labels like Cloudchamber Recordings. His artistic and research endeavors have received funding from Musikfonds and Pro Helvetia, among others.
