Nathaniel Suter
Operations lead
Nathaniel Suter is our go-to facilities guy, developing smooth-operating facilities for new and existing programmes and initiatives. In fact, the Swiss-Canadian masterminded our most recent renovation – including the welcoming, plant-filled spaces and cutting-edge studios we now enjoy at our Funkhaus location.
His previous experience in both music and geography made Nathaniel the perfect fit for the role when he joined us in 2015. Nathaniel’s skills include audio engineering and music production, sales, GIS seismic mapping and surveying. It’s a pretty telling CV when you consider that he loves few things more than the process of “being baffled by something, then figuring it out, and then being baffled again later by the next thing.”
Nathaniel says the best part of his job is the constant learning curve and the new projects that result when working with so many fresh ideas. We’re not surprised he’s “pretty excellent” at cooking, because when it comes to cooking up concepts, he’s a master chef.
When he’s not at Catalyst, you’ll find him making atmospheric techno as Nathaniel S. He also loves to travel, eat, and break out of his comfort zone. Nathaniel’s life pro tip: “the most valuable things lie in the darkest places.”
